Since opening our Seattle office in 2018, I’ve seen the team make incredible strides in the Pacific Northwest tech market, forging invaluable connections and true partnerships along the way. In addition to producing award-winning campaigns and working with some of the area’s leading B2B tech companies, we’ve increased revenue from Washington-based clients by over 40% per year.
Our Seattle headcount has also expanded to keep up. We now have fourteen full-time employees, and last year we moved to an expanded office space at 2101 4th Avenue with sweeping views on the city’s iconic Space Needle.
All of this growth wouldn’t be possible without talented people in place to support it, which is why I’m excited to announce two updates to our Seattle leadership team: Annie Gudorf has been named Managing Director, Seattle, and Rachel Fukaya has been elevated to Vice President of Public Relations.
- Annie Gudorf, Managing Director, Seattle – Five years after joining Walker Sands, Annie moved to the Emerald City in January 2018 to become the first employee in our Seattle office. Annie was elevated to Vice President of Public Relations in 2019, and during her time in Seattle has overseen strong headcount and revenue growth. In her role as Managing Director, Annie will continue to play an integral part in growing Walker Sands’ West Coast presence by overseeing Seattle operations and team growth while leading award-winning client work for top B2B tech brands.
- Rachel Fukaya, Vice President of Public Relations: Rachel joined Walker Sands in 2018 and now joins our growing Seattle leadership team. In her time at the agency, she has been instrumental in accelerating growth by driving award-winning client work and nurturing talent across Walker Sands. As Vice President of Public Relations, Rachel will focus on growing the PR department through employee and client development while continuing to serve as strategic PR counsel for her clients.
Both Annie and Rachel have already had a big impact on Walker Sands through their commitment to nurturing top-notch talent and leading innovation in client work. Annie has been spearheading our growth in Seattle from the beginning, and now, with Rachel joining the Seattle leadership team, I have no doubt they’ll continue to push the agency to new heights.
