That’s why we’re proud to have received three 2021 Hermes Creative Awards: two recognizing our branding work for Hub Group and Social Solutions and one recognizing our social media work for Semrush.
The Hermes Creative Awards honors the creative industry’s best publications, branding collateral, websites and marketing and communication programs, and we’re honored to be included among this year’s winners. This recognition would not be possible without the creativity and hard work of our branding and social media teams, and we’re thankful to have such fantastic client partners to innovate with.
Here’s a recap of the work recognized by the Hermes Creative Awards:
Semrush Premium Twitter Microcontent
Our social media work for Semrush received a Platinum Award in the “Social Media, Twitter” category. Semrush, a content marketing SaaS platform, came to Walker Sands looking to level up its creative strategy on Twitter to boost engagement and brand affinity among its audience of digital marketers and SEO professionals. Over the course of three months, the Walker Sands team designed and implemented a premium Twitter microcontent program for Semrush that led with empathy, prioritizing audience interest over marketing messages, and embedded the brand in timely, trending online conversations. The social program drove high engagement and awareness among Semrush’s target audience, resulting in 793,500+ impressions and 34,800+ engagements.
Hub Group Integrated Brand Refresh
Hub Group’s new brand identity received a Platinum Award in the “Integrated Marketing, Branding Refresh” category. We partnered with the Fortune 1000 company to evolve its brand perception as a legacy supply chain solutions provider by repositioning its identity to better represent Hub Group’s expanded solutions and technologies. The new brand voice that emerged was trustworthy, approachable and straightforward — characteristics that allowed Hub Group to reflect the needs of their varying audiences. To transform Hub Group’s visual identity, the Walker Sands team also developed a sophisticated, monochromatic green palette, and shot custom photography and video on location along the California coastline to serve as a breathtaking reminder of Hub Group’s vast supply-chain reach. Together, the new verbal and visual identity successfully established Hub Group as a customer-focused leader with cutting-edge technology and solutions. Social Solutions Rebrand
Our branding work for Social Solutions received a Gold Award in the “Integrated Marketing, Company Branding” category. Social Solutions, a cloud software and data solutions provider for nonprofit and public sector social service organizations, partnered with Walker Sands to create a new brand identity that would highlight the company’s impact on the people it serves. From a new color palette to hand-drawn iconography, the Walker Sands team designed new visual elements for Social Solutions to bring a sense of warmth, approachability and humanity to the brand. The team also developed a new verbal identity for Social Solutions that is inviting, optimistic and sophisticated, and strives to convey the vast potential of its tools and teams to truly change lives. The resulting rebrand brought the company’s deeply supportive, community-focused ethos to life, while providing plenty of room to expand as Social Solutions grows its offerings and capabilities.
