About Us
Principal
Responsibilities
  • Participate on the Executive Committee and define overall strategic direction and corporate plans for Walker Sands.
  • Oversight of Walker Sands regional or large country operations.
  • Complete responsibility for your region, including P&L accountability.
  • Build brand awareness for Walker Sands in your region.
  • Recruit and manage Directors for your region.
  • Develop and procure new business opportunities with large, global accounts.
  • Strategic consultation with multiple accounts at the senior executive level.
Experience Required
  • 15+ years public relations or marketing experience, at least 5 years in public relations.
  • 5 years high-tech agency experience with P&L responsibility preferred.
  • Technical background and entrepreneurial experience preferred.
Education Required
  • BA/BS
  • MBA preferred
Skills Required
  • Extensive people management experience.
  • Direct client service at the CEO/President levels of corporations.
  • Experience managing a budget of at least $750,000-$1million per year.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Strong ability to prioritize/multi-task and help others to do so.
  • Proven ability to manage projects-both up and down.
  • Familiarity with the high-tech market and landscape.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Superb writing skills.
  • Understanding of PR plans, strategy and programs.
  • Positive attitude in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Superb problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of media and analysts, including developing relationships.
