Media Relations Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and write pitches, press releases, and contributed articles to solicit placements for Walker Sands clients
  • Maintain working relationships with target members of press community
  • Help coordinate follow-up with media contacts
Experience Required
  • No formal experience required. Previous PR and media relations experience a definite plus.
Education Required
  • BA/BS
Skills Required
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Superb writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and communicate new ideas.
  • Creative ability to develop new story ideas.
  • Strong computer skills: Office and internet searching, basic HTML a plus
  • Organization and time management skills
