- Oversight of a Walker Sands city, small country
office, or practice area.
- Complete responsibility for local operations,
including P&L accountability.
- Build brand awareness for Walker Sands in your
local market.
- Recruit, train and manage marketing, PR, and administrative
staff for your office.
- Develop and procure new business opportunities.
- Hands-on supervision of multiple accounts at the
senior executive level.
- Direct account teams in handling strategic and
tactical PR issues.
- Manage PR for clients in crisis mode.
- Foster the professional development of your team
and the growth of your office.
- 5-10 years public relations or marketing experience,
at least 5 years in public relations.
- 5 years high-tech agency experience preferred.
- Technical background and entrepreneurial experience
preferred.
- Extensive people management experience.
- Direct client service at the CEO/President levels
of corporations.
- Experience managing a budget of at least $750,000-$1million
per year.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong ability to prioritize/multi-task and help
others to do so.
- Proven ability to manage projects-both up and
down.
- Familiarity with the high-tech market and landscape.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Superb writing skills.
- Understanding of PR plans, strategy and programs.
- Positive attitude in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Superb problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of media and analysts, including
developing relationships.
